Rehearsal of Maine Balkan Choir prior to all-Ukraine-songs benefit concert in May
The Maine Balkan Choir was formed in 1998 to sing Slavic music. We mostly have sung in Bulgarian language, but since January 2023 we have been preparing an all-Ukrainian-song program for a charity concert which will be in Portland May 21st.
We invite all Ukrainian singers to join us at the rehearsal April 22nd, and to be part of the choir during our last rehearsals for the May event. Send an email to joeniemczura@gmail.com and we will send you the sheet music beforehand.
The Multicultural Center is located at 20 Union St, Hallowell. The rehearsal starts at 10 a.m. and will go to 3 pm with a break for lunch.
Save The Children Ukrainian program. This is an international charity organization that serves the needs of children during war.
