Ukraine 101: Root causes of the Russian invasion in context – Ukraine’s history, culture, and people – Part 2

Dear Friends,
We would like to invite you to the Ukraine-related event, “Ukraine 101: Root causes of the Russian invasion in context – Ukraine’s history, culture, and people” with Vlad Shapiro as an invited guest speaker.

Beginning from February 2022, every night this church has the special night lighting with two colors: half is blue and half is yellow. Recently we have met the church community, and they told us about the help they are providing to Ukraine and Ukrainians. This initial conversation was so timely and necessary that we decided on its continuation and the church parishioners invited Vlad to speak about Ukraine and the war.

The format of this meeting called “Lyceum” is an open dialog preceded with 30 minutes presentation and followed by small reception. The main goal of the event is two-folded: giving basic information about Ukraine, its people, culture and history to the US audience and answering on questions and concerns audience members have related to Ukraine.
