𝙐𝙆𝙍𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉 𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙑𝙔𝙒𝙀𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏 𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙎 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙈𝘼𝙅𝙊𝙍 𝘽𝙊𝙓𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙄𝙏𝙇𝙀

Undefeated Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Andrii Novytskyi (11-0, 9 KO’s), a native of Odessa, will step into the ring this Saturday at Melrose Memorial Hall in Melrose, Massachusetts to take on Tennessee’s Keith Rydel Mayes, Jr. (15-2, 14 KO’s) in a 10-round boxing match for the vacant WBC International Heavyweight Championship as part of “Summer Fight Night.”

Novytskyi, who moved to the United States with his wife and children, hopes to follow in the footsteps of other heavyweight legends Ukraine has produced including current Heavyweight Champion Oleksandyr Usyk and the brothers Vitali & Wladimir Klitschko. Vitali Klitschko in retirement from boxing is currently serving as Mayor of Kiev.

Novytskyi, a man proud of his homeland who always gets his hands wrapped in a dressing room displaying a flag of Ukraine he posts on the wall himself, was named 2023 Boston Boxing Promotions “Fighter of the Year” for his impressive performances on New England boxing shows.

Also on the card this Saturday night in Melrose will be another up-and-coming Ukrainian heavyweight, Serhii Sheludko (4-1, 2 KO’s), who will take on Brazil’s Victor Hugo Costa in a rematch of their incredibly exciting, hard-hitting first encounter from earlier this year. Sheludko stands at a towering 6’7″ and is a native of Zaporozhye.
