Ukrainian film LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG (east coast premiere) at Belmont World Film
When identical twin brothers–who couldn’t be more different–hear that their long-absent father is sick in Luxembourg, they set out from Ukraine on a journey to see him one last time. Will the man they find be the bad-ass father they remember? This humorous film is a declaration of love to the director’s father, who like the father in the film, was running away all the time, ultimately dying in a wealthy European city! The film premiered at the most recent Venice Film Festival.
Speaker: Tatyana Bronstein, a Ukrainian-born independent director/producer based in Boston, who has directed feature documentaries and short narratives, which have been shown at prestigious film festivals throughout the world. She is a Lecturer at Boston University for the Department of Film & Television (immediately following film).
