Dear Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine ,
Please join us on Thursday, May 18, 2023, starting at 5:00 PM at Make Way for Ducklings Statue in Boston Public Garden to celebrate one of the most prominent symbols of Ukrainian culture – vyshyvanka!
Vyshyvanka Day is an international holiday that aims to preserve the original folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothes called vyshyvanka.
 The Schedule of the event:
From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM we invite you to join us wearing your beautiful Vyshyvanka for a group photo with the Make Way for Ducklings Statue.
One day only – Ducklings will be wearing Vyshyvanka-style clothing to celebrate World Vyshyvanka Day in Boston.
At 6:00 PM we will start the “Vyshyvanka Walk” towards the Parkman Bandstand Boston Common.
At 6:30 PM we will gather at the Parkman Bandstand to celebrate one of the most prominent symbols of Ukrainian culture – vyshyvanka. We will speak about Vyshyvanka and how it became a spiritual armor for the people of Ukraine, unite to lift our spirits with Ukrainian songs accompanied by acoustic guitar.
